I'm almost 29 (on the 21st of April, I will be.)  I'm short, fat, gimpy, wildhaired, spectacled, tattooed, pierced, insane woman.  My husband, Tony, is the love of my life and we've been married since October 24, 1998.

I am fat and have been for years.  I dieted my way into the hospital at 12/13 years of age.  I dieted on and off for years, always ending up gaining back more weigh than I lost.

I gave up dieting.  I'm fat, that's all there is to it.  The extra flesh isn't going anywhere.  I believe that diets do more harm than good.  95-98% of people who lose weight on a diet plan (any diet plan) gain it back.

The 2-5% who are successes?  Include people who keep even 25% of the weight they lost off.  In other words, someone can lose 100 lbs, gain back 75 and is still counted as a success.

Okay, back to me.  I'm liberal except when it comes to gun control.  I live in rural Virginia with my husband.  My time is spent writing, reading, taking care of my nephew or niece, surfing the web, and volunteering.

I'm disabled due to an injury and chronic disease (degenerative disk disease with severe nerve damage).  My weight has nothing to do with my disability.

My mouth is large, I don't sit back when people insult me.  I grew tired of letting fat haters get to me.

I dress weird.  I like bright colors, wild patterns, and strange ensembles.  I'm like Mimi Bobeck without the makeup and mean.

I'm vain.  I think I'm cute.  I don't give a rat's ass if you disagree.  I have wild, long, curly hair.  As of this writing (april 4th 2004) my hair is burgundy, that changes often.
